Ice Cream Accessories for the Fashionista

I'm all about taking an ordinary, good thing (like ice cream!) and making it better...and CUTER! Some people might wonder why I bother to go through the trouble of making things more aesthetically pleasing...why not just scoop some ice cream in a regular cone or bowl ~ it'd taste every bit as sweet?!? Well why do companies pay big bucks for marketing and packaging?
Because they realize the value in making things more appealing to people.

How much more special is something seemingly ordinary when it's presented in a unique and special way?! So while treating the guys to ice cream this weekend, I found these adorable ice cream spoons for the little guy :)

...and for wee little hands, with eyes bigger than their appetites,

these teeny, tiny kid-size cones are the absolute SWEETEST!

How cute is THAT?!?

So I challenge you - take a few extra moments to make things a little more special...

and see if your friends and loved ones don't feel extra loved and spoiled!

(mine sure do!) :)

A treasured friend

My dear friend Terri from Lakewood Manor is truly one of the most special women I've ever known.  She has enviable creativity, eternal grace, ambition, intelligence and style...and I'm so honored to call her a friend!

She recently sent me the coveted ruffled toile and burlap tablerunner that I mentioned awhile back in one of my posts ~ and it now graces every meal in my home, reminding me of a truly special and sweet friend!

Terri, I love you, girl!
....
Thank you so much!!!

A Day filled with Love

Valentine's cupcakes for my son's party

Any day that celebrates love is a joy to me!

All of those beautiful hearts...
the lovely flowers...
decadent chocolates...
sweet sentiments...

Valentine's Day never ceases to give me goosebumps.

I'm so lucky to have two wonderful guys in my life to share it,
My darling husband
and our adorable son :)

They brought me home a sweet little bouquet of roses and tulips
(each flower handpicked by my 4-year old son)

and took me out to dinner & a movie :)
(Gnomeo & Juliet)

My son made me so many sweet Valentine's crafts...

We read Valentine's books...
and exchanged Valentine's cards.

I helped my son prepare all of his Valentine's day cards for his friends,
and we baked cupcakes for their party.

A sweet holiday filled with love

Happy Valentine's Day!

 ........

And in other news,
I'm about to start a new job so I may not have much time to update my blog...
but please don't worry,

I'll be back to posting ~ just as soon as I can!

Valentine's lights in the windows.
