Spring = a new project

It's hard to believe it's been two years since my husband and I designed and built our son's playhouse (photo of it above during construction). We started the designing and building in the spring of 2009. Now that another spring has returned, you can bet a new project is on the horizon :)

This year we're designing something that I've always wanted, always hoped for...a decorative gardening shed. Oh if it's one of those factory, pre-packaged home center types that you're imagining, think again! What I'm talking about is something much cuter...with old-fashioned windows, a porch for a little bistro set, flower boxes, a gable, and a working indoor sink :)

Gardening is in my soul...I love making things grow! For many years we've talked about designing the perfect gardener's potting shed...a place for all of my landscaping and garden tools. A little haven, all my own (think of it as a grown-up girl's playhouse - *wink*). These next few weeks will be a time to dream and plan...to gather ideas, and do plenty of research!

There's just nothing like a good project, is there!?!

  3. I cannot WAIT to see it Judy! There is nothing "prepackaged home centre" about you at all. It will be "to die for". Of that I am absolutely certain.

    I'm blogging again with my sister. . . come visit me!

  5. Ahhh, this will be a TREAT to see! Your playhouse is SO incredible! I'm looking forward to seeing your garden cottage. We had a little garden shed make for my Mom's birthday last week. It's not decorated yet. We painted it but nothing else. I will WAIT and get some ideas from you lol. ;)
